31st Annual Habitat for Humanity Build

Build Dates: July 19 & 26; August 2
Joining 7 other local churches, Glenn will work with the same house leader as last year to build a home for a wonderful family. When you sign up to build, you are committing to the entire build day, but you do not have to attend every build day. You must register to build through the registration link below to participate, and the minimum volunteer age is 16 years old. Registration closes 48 hours before each build date so make sure to sign up well in advance. Register here

Summer Mission Trip

July 20-26 | Johnson City, TN

(Registration now full) Rising 7th graders and older are invited on a trip to Johnson City, TN to help repair homes and infrastructure that were damaged by the 2024 hurricanes. *This will be an intense week, but a highly rewarding one.

Glisson GROW Day Camp

July 21-25, Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm

Register at growdaycamps.org. For rising 1st through 6th graders. Glisson Grow Day Camps brings the powerful experience of camp ministry to local churches. Packed with activities that contribute to learning new skills and building Christian community, the focus throughout is for each camper to grow deeper roots in their faith (grow spiritually), in their ability to work as a team (grow socially), and in self-confidence as a loved child of God (grow individually).

Tie-Dye Sunday!

Children & Youth will join during Sunday School at the Youth & Activities Building front yard to learn how the Scriptures can help us tie-dye our clothes! Let us know your family's sizes on this form so we can order approximate number of youth and adult sizes.  All are welcome to join us that morning or simply take home your shirt to wear plain or decorate on your own.  Pay online or sponsor t-shirts here.

Boredom Buster Day!

Rising 3rd graders through 8th graders (high schoolers welcome to join the fun!). Let's make sure no one is bored the last week of summer with a day of fun service projects at Glenn Church as we prepare for Back to School Sunday.  Details & sign up here

Youth Vocal Music Workshop 

August 2, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. $25 - INCLUDES LUNCH and T-Shirt!  Scholarships available.

Rising 6th – 12th graders are invited:

  • Music is in our Bodies. Music is in our Souls.

  • Reading the rhythm map with our voices, body percussion and instruments. 

  • Reading the pitch map with our voices in melody and harmony.        

  • AI and the history of church music!

  • "Hidden Secrets" of the Glenn CSB and Sanctuary!

All students & teachers are invited to bring your backpack for a special blessing (and receive this year's Glenn Church keychain!) and we'll all celebrate Holy Communion together. 
8:30am in the Little Chapel or 11am in the Sanctuary.  Nursery care available for infants through Kindergarteners.

Disaster Relief

We surround in prayer all those affected by natural disasters and violence. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is an international relief organization supporting emergency and longterm support across the globe. To give to UMCOR via Glenn Church, click here.  Additionally, the Glenn Church Good Samaritan fund is used to support local needs for emergency relief for food and utilities bills for those in need. Monthly Caregivers’ Support Group — Free!

For all family caregivers of aging loved ones, including those with memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease.  Join us for a monthly support group of confidential encouragement and care. Snack in a Backpack

Snack in a Backpack provides food to children who are at risk of hunger on the weekends. The program currently serves approximately 400 children, including 40 children in refugee families. Contact Deborah Marlowe for more information.

A Smarter Workout

Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:30am | YAAB Gym

Meet with a community of mostly women 50 and over who enjoy conversation, camaraderie and laughter, oh, and exercise! The class is led by Susan Lee, group fitness instructor and personal trainer. We rotate different types of exercise for a functional, healthy, strong body – and have lots of fun doing it! Modifications are encouraged and we never push each other to perform.  Judgment is forbidden, especially from yourself. All are welcome!
